Terms & Conditions

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

By booking with KSRT, you (“customer”) are agreeing to comply with the following Terms and Conditions and you confirm you have a current UK licence (or UK counterpart for foreign licences) and have No current or pending ban.

PAYMENT - Must be received in full upon booking for all courses.

CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING & NON ATTENDANCE - Customers must give 7 working day’s notice of cancellation or rescheduling for all booked courses. Notification of cancellation will be expected by ringing the office.

A full refund less £25.00 admin fee will be issued on cancellations provided the 7 day notice has been given.

Failure to attend booked course without prior agreement will incur the loss of the full cost of the course.

If a customer decides to end their training before completion or during any part of their course, No refund or credits will be given.

If under their duty of care a KSRT instructor deems it necessary to cease training due to inebriation, drug use or fatigue, No refunds or credits will be given. The instructors decision is final.

Should a customer be unable to attend or complete their training due to: Incorrect, Incomplete paperwork, Invalid CBT or using own vehicle the vehicle is defective/unsafe, is unable to produce valid insurance, tax or mot certificate, or is inappropriately dressed for safe motorcycle riding (sturdy jeans, coat, gloves and ankle boots are required) or fails the eyesight test, this will lead to cancellation of training. No refunds or credits will be given.

HIGHWAY CODE - All customers attending training should have read and understood the Highway Code. Training will be terminated if a KSRT instructor deems the customer to be unsafe due to lack of comprehension relating to the Highway Code.
No refunds or credits will be given.

LANGUAGE - All training is delivered in English. A full working knowledge and good understanding of English is required. Training will be terminated if an KSRT instructor deems the customer to be unsafe due to lack of comprehension. All fees will be forfeited.

LATE ARRIVAL FOR TRAINING - CBT COURSE requires you to arrive at 7:45 am for licence checks, the course starts at 8:00 am A1, A2, & DAS courses start time to be arranged once tests are confirmed. Failure to arrive within 15 minutes of agreed start time will lead to cancellation of training. No refunds or credits will be given. A1, A2, & DAS customers are required to have booked and passed their Theory test before these courses can take place. For all post-CBT courses, theory tests and Module 1 & 2 tests you must bring your licence, CBT certificate (DL196), Theory test pass certificate and photo ID (which can be passport or a photo card driving licence) The DVSA (Driver and vehicle standards agency) will not accept anything other than original, complete and legible UK licence.

EQUIPMENT - Motorcycles supplied as part of training courses are subject to a £750 insurance excess. Customers causing damage to a school vehicle will be liable to the repair costs up to the Maximum £750 for 125cc - DAS bike and £400 for a 50cc moped being the maximum liability of insurance excess to be paid at time of damage.

During training, should a customer cause or be involved in an accident or incident due to not following instruction or by becoming separated from the instructor, the insurance will be invalidated and all costs including the full recovery & repair of the vehicles involved will be the customers responsibility.

If the customer is under 18 years of age, then the customer’s parent(s) or legal guardian shall assume full liability to costs and charges as detailed in the previous paragraph.

PERSONAL INSURANCE - Cover for personal injury, cancellations, accident, loss of income sustained through injury or costs of any other kind are the responsibility of the customer.

SAFETY - KSRT instructors are committed to safety and have duty of care and if a customer becomes a danger to themselves or the public, KSRT reserve the right to cease training. The instructor will justify their decision. The relevant cancellation conditions apply.

The customer should arrive with an Approved Safety Helmet (crash helmet) Preferably no trainers, shorts, flip flops, ripped jeans or skirts. Stout shoes/boots with ankle protection are advised.

No responsibility will be taken if customers give inaccurate or misleading information resulting in an inappropriate course being booked. The relevant cancellation conditions will apply.

KSRT and its instructors will endeavour to complete all training as agreed with customers. We reserve the right to change or cancel training dates and courses if events beyond our control require such action, such as: unsafe weather conditions/mechanical failure.

ADDITIONAL TRAINING - if the customer is unable to complete the training exercises or demonstrates proof of proficiency and to the standard set out by the DVLA/DVSA, further training may be required at additional cost. No refunds or credits will be due.

CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS - The customer must inform the instructor prior to the commencement of training of any medical conditions, disabilities or special needs that may impact training. Failure to do so may lead to training being cancelled. No refunds or credits given.

Licences will be checked for authenticity and training will be cancelled if the documents prove fake or invalid. No refunds or credits will be due.

Bring glasses/contacts if normally worn, eyesight will be checked to make sure the customer meets the legal requirement. The customer must be able to read vehicle licence plate from at least 20.5 meters or 67ft away in good daylight. If glasses are required to achieve this, then they must be worn at all times whilst training. Eyesight check failure will result in course cancellation and no refunds of fees paid.

USE OF OWN MOTORCYCLE - if the customer conducts training with KSRT on a motorcycle provided by the customer, then the customer warrants that:

PROVIDES PROOF OF VALID INSURANCE (min 3rd party)

PROVIDES PROOF OF VALID MOT CERTIFICATE (if applicable)

PROVIDES PROOF OF VALID ROAD FUND (Tax)

IS LIABLE FOR ALL COSTS INCURRED FOR ANY DAMAGE OR ACCIDENTS HOWEVER CAUSED BY THE CUSTOMER.

FAILURE TO PROVIDE/AGREE THE ABOVE WILL LEAD TO CANCELLATION OF TRAINING. NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS WILL BE GIVEN.

*THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS MUST BE SIGNED BY THE CUSTOMER BEFORE A COURSE CAN START. *

SHOULD THE CUSTOMER BE UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS MUST BE SIGNED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN OF THE CUSTOMER.

* Should the customer incur any traffic violations for speeding or entering a restricted area, they will be liable to pay any fines issued.
